Sophie Schemmel

Hi there! My name is Sophie Schemmel.
In the past, I have taught special education. I'm currently teaching kindergarten and am the PBIS behavior intervention lead.

In 2017, I graduated from Clarke University’s elementary education program with endorsements in special education and reading. A few years later, I earned my masters degree through Clarke as well.

My husband, Dan, and I live on a hog farm in Monticello with our kids: Harrison, Coralee, Arthur, and Philomena. As a family, we love to be outside, play games, lounge on the couch reading books or watch lots of movies!

These many years at Olin have been so wonderful getting to know all the students and families. We love going to Olin community events to see everyone outside of school and we look forward to continuing to meet new families.
